PGA Certified Golf Instructor
Throughout his career, Tim has earned certifications from the PGA in various areas, including Instruction, Retail, Golf Operations, Tournament Operations, General Management, Ownership & Leasing, all while working towards becoming a Master PGA Professional.
Tim has also achieved recognition from the Professional Clubmakers Society as a Master Fitter, Master Clubmaker, and Master Club Repair. Furthermore, he is certified by every major shaft and club manufacturer as a Certified Fitter, as well as a Stack & Tilt and Plane Truth Certified Instructor.
Tim believes that to truly help each player achieve their goals, he must understand both the intricacies of golfing equipment and the science behind individual golf swings.

He is committed to being the best instructor possible by staying current with his skills and market trends. With a passion for continued education, Tim actively seeks out certification in the latest golfing technologies and teaching methods.​
He takes pride in being one of the few K-Vest, Trackman, and Swing Catalyst instructors in Houston.
Tim is dedicated to seeking opportunities for instructional improvement and invests his time in acquiring new knowledge to become the best golfing instructor for his clients.
He has set four course records: Country Place – 62, Del Lago – 63, Canyon Lakes – 64, and Terradyne – 62.

Steve Angulo
PGA Associate Golf Instructor
Tim Krumnow Golf Academy is thrilled to introduce our newest instructor, Steve Angulo, a PGA Associate with an impressive 20-year background in golf. Steve’s passion for the sport is evident in his competitive spirit, as he regularly participates in Southern Texas PGA and local golf tournaments. In 2023, Steve's dedication and skill led him to victory in the Men's Championship flight match play competition, showcasing his exceptional talents on the course.
Steve enjoys working with golfers of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned competitors. His keen ability to connect with high-level athletes is evident, as he currently mentors several students excelling on the Memorial High School Golf Team and other high school teams. As a Master Fitter Certified through Callaway, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his instructional approach.
One of Steve's greatest strengths is his ability to translate high-level play into practical, course-focused instruction, aligning perfectly with the Tim Krumnow Golf Academy’s philosophy.
His comprehensive understanding of the golf swing and its application on the course ensures that his students benefit from the practice area to real-game scenarios, helping them achieve their scoring goals.
